Recently we hit rewind back to 1985, to celebrate White Stuff’s 40th anniversary with a trio of 80’s celebs at their Leicester call centre.
When White Stuff was looking to celebrate this milestone, they asked their loyal customers which items from back in the day they wanted to bring back, and the resounding answer was the iconic Girls and Boys from the White Stuff tees and quarter zips.
Instead of selling the retro-inspired collection the modern way (online), the brand looked to 1985 for inspiration, and so we relaunched their order by phone service, with Martin Kemp, Sinitta, and Toyah Willcox answering calls to surprised customers.

The hotline was a resounding success with headlines for Rewind ’85 landing across nationals including The Sun, Mirror and Daily Mail (to name a few) and a reach of 347M, not to mention, the brand had to bring forward the online release of the collection due to popular demand.
We won’t ever forget the moment Martin Kemp belted his pop hit ‘Gold’ down the phone to one surprised caller – that’s one for the PR memory box!
