Plymouth Gin Makes Waves

4th May 2023

Continuing its sustainability journey, Plymouth Gin has launched a brand new ‘Ocean Edition’ limited-edition bottle in partnership with ocean charity the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT), its coastal neighbour situated just a stone’s throw away from the Distillery. The blue tinted bottle is helping to save our seas, with £1 donated to the OCT for every bottle sold.

To celebrate the launch, we held a VIP event all aboard London Shell Co, hosted by Hollywood actor and singer Luke Evans, attended by top tier editors alongside socially conscious influencers. Luke spoke passionately about the importance of protecting our oceans, having spent his childhood on the Welsh coast, while Roger Maslin, CEO of the Ocean Conservation Trust, educated guests on why it’s so vital to protect seagrass – one of the planet’s most valuable (and fastest disappearing!) natural habitats. Meanwhile, we enjoyed a seven course sustainable tasting menu, Plymouth cocktails and performances from a modern shanty band, who rocked the boat with stellar tunes.

Diary coverage from the event appeared in titles such as the Evening Standard, to a combined circulation of 73.9M, and 42 social posts reached a further 4.9M. We want to make waves and get this bottle everywhere, cleaning up our oceans one sip at a time!
