Making a Splash with Campo Viejo

2nd September 2019

We created the most sensible idea we’ve ever had for our friends at Campo Viejo this Summer, the construction of a wine fountain on London’s South Bank.

We were only a little bit sad to learn that the six-meter, Mediterranean-style plumes couldn’t contain actual wine, but pink tinted water in celebration of the first Rosé from the UK’s favourite rioja brand. The fountain formed the centrepiece of a glorious activation with plenty of the real thing (a crisply vibrant new rosé) flowing from the pop-up bar, overlooking the city of London. Mouth-watering Pintxos style street food was supplied by Jimmy Garcia, with a soundtrack of Spanish music completing the vibe.

Campo Viejo’s wine expert Maria Huete was on hand throughout the day, hosting a selection of wine tasting and food pairing sessions for over 500 eager guests made up of consumers, influencers and press – including Mail Online, Hello!, Hello Fashion Monthly, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. Online tickets for the event sold out completely.

23 pieces of coverage found a spectacular reach of 323,532,272, including 2 national pieces in The Daily Telegraph, The I, and appearances in Campaign Live, Time Out and Secret London. Cheers!
