Good instinct takes on the Pride of Scotland Awards

30th May 2024

Since the launch of instinct’s charity arm, ‘Good instinct’, two years ago, we’ve supported a range of worthwhile causes and purpose-led organisations, from Children With Cancer, Barnardo’s Fashion, refugee charity The Lotus Flower and just last week we added the Pride of Scotland Awards to the mix – an incredibly inspiring evening celebrating Scottish heroes who have transformed the lives of people around them.

We worked with the Pride of Scotland team at Reach PLC for the five months in the lead up to awards night, supporting on red carpet planning, securing interview coverage with the deserving winners, inviting media down on the night to cover the red carpet, and hosting some of our close influencer contacts based up in Scotland. For the big night we headed to Glasgow for the star-studded event – Laura Anderson and Paige Turley took to the red carpet as a duo for the second year running hosting the awards FB Live, and stars from all over Scotland attended including Susan Boyle, James Cosmo, and a therapy Shetland pony called Wilson, who walked the red carpet in a kilt, of course!

To cover the red carpet we secured BBC Scotland and Glasgow World, as well as photographers from Getty and Backgrid, and off the back off the celebrity shots we secured Mail Online, Metro and Scottish Sun, and for the real stars of the show the winners we secured a Heart Scotland FM interview and a range of local Scottish media.

A truly special night which we were honoured to be a part of – to experience the celebratory and comical atmosphere in the room, you can watch the awards on the Pride of Scotland YouTube channel here.  Stay tuned for what we have in store for Good instinct as we continue to use our expertise for good – because why should PR be such a luxury to so many worthy organisations that need a voice?
