17 Aug The Return of Disney On Ice: Five Steps to Success
You may have heard the incredibly exciting news that Disney On Ice is back this Autumn with a brand new tour, bringing a slice of Disney magic to families across the UK. Well, the instinct team has had a Mickey Mouse shaped hole in our lives over this past year, so we could not contain our excitement when that joyous email arrived in our inboxes, instructing us to pick back up our PR tools.
Here were the five steps to kick off the return of Disney On Ice…
Go Far and Wide with Coverage
To achieve blanket coverage for the tour, we went out with a bang, announcing the news to national and regional press as soon as tickets hit the on-sale. To date, we’ve secured coverage on the likes of The Sun Online, S Magazine, OK!, Closer, New!, First News, The Resident and Manchester Evening News, with much much more in the pipeline.
Team up with Top Influencers
We called upon our trusty network of Disney lovers, partnering with ten of our favourite parenting influencers to spread the news to their followers, including Candice Brathwaite, Brummy Mummy of 2 and Mama’s Still Got It.
Send them Something BIG
We worked with Heaps & Stacks to create the ultimate surprise send out for our mega influencers – a magnificent Mickey Mouse shaped piñata and Disney party pack, complete with disco lights, party poppers and the QR code to a Disney On Ice Spotify playlist.
Spread the Joy
We asked them to film their VILPs (Very Important Little People) smashing open the piñata, catching their excited reactions when they pieced together the clues to discover that Disney On Ice is back!
Hit the Road
This year’s tour is aptly named ‘Find Your Hero’, and the show will be exploring what it means to be a hero as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and more than 50 of our other favourite Disney characters take to the ice. Moana, Frozen, Tangled… we’re ready for you!
