24 Apr Destination Saint James
Synonymous with style, the iconic Breton is recognised as a fashion staple each and every corner of the globe, irrespective of age or gender. The Breton has a wealth of history and we were fortunate enough to share this knowledge with press during a visit to Saint James, Normandy, home of the Breton stripe.
We invited press from Stella – The Sunday Telegraph, HELLO! Fashion Monthly and online fashion portals The Debrief and Who What Wear to join us on a road of discovery.
Jetting out of the UK we arrived in Nantes and had a scenic drive to our home for the evening, the Chateau du Bois Guy where we sampled the local culinary delights with the team from Saint James.
During the trip the journalists received a tour of the factory and met with Director of Collections, Jacqueline Petipas to talk about her inspirations behind the designs. Additionally, they had the opportunity to speak with the CEO, Luc Lesencal about future plans for the business within the UK.
A visit to Saint James wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Mon Saint Michel. The beautiful landmark is representative of the brands connection to the sea, where Saint James first served fishermen. The brand has come a long way since then with high profile fans of the brand including Coco Chanel, Picasso and Alexa Chung propelling the brand and the Breton into a universal fashion staple.
